We are rooted in the Asian Canadian community, but our light reaches everyone. Every child has something unique inside them — Youth Can exists to help that light shine.
We started as a space for Asian Canadian youth — and grew into something bigger: a community where any young person can discover their light.
Youth Can empowers young people through five pillars — arts, sports, leadership, media creation, and entrepreneurship. Every child grows at their own pace and in their own way. Our role is simply to light the path, open the doors, and cheer them on.
Youth Can is a registered brand and program of ACYCSMA — Asian Canadian Youth Culture, Sports and Media Association, a registered non-profit society in British Columbia under the BC Societies Act.
We are building a Youth Advisory Council to give young people a formal voice in shaping our programs. Stay tuned.
Five directions. One for every young person. Come as you are — grow into who you're meant to be.
🏅 Every pillar offers a scholarship to recognize every young person who dares to shine.
Multi-ethnic leagues, international youth exchange, and training camps across a wide range of disciplines — from soccer and basketball to golf, martial arts, and ice hockey. Leadership Academy (6-month programme), annual Youth Summit, mentorship matching, bilingual speaking competitions, and digital citizenship training. Every young person has the capacity to lead — we help them discover it.
Calligraphy, digital art, photography, choir, instruments, stage performance, drama, recitation, folk traditions, youth book clubs, and writing workshops — four disciplines united by one goal: celebrating cultural heritage through authentic creative expression.
Media lab, youth reporter programme, bilingual podcast, film festival, and creator bootcamp — video production, interviewing, hosting, social media, and content distribution, all in English and Mandarin. Includes Youth Talk, our interview series where youth go behind the scenes with professionals from every industry.
Business bootcamp, startup challenge, social enterprise incubator, creative market, e-commerce and digital marketing practice, career exploration workshops, one-on-one industry mentorship, resume and interview training, Career Lab, and financial literacy.
